On Thursday, MPP John Vanthof was at the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex to hear more about the $465,000 Community Building Fund Capital Grant from the Ontario government and administered by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). The grant, awarded in late 2021, was used for upgrades to the arena, addressing a community need by upgrading ventilation and dehumidification units, replacing the rink’s boards and benches, and improving accessible access to the facility.

Off-Road Vehicles on Town of Kirkland Lake Streets

There is a new by-law for regulating what type of off-road vehicles are permitted on Town streets. Now in addition to all-terrain vehicles, there can be multi-purpose off-highway utility vehicles and recreational off-highway vehicles.
