How to Vote

  Paper Ballot & Tabulator Voting

Eligible voters may vote in person on Election Day (October 26, 2026) at the Royal Canadian Legion (see below for details).

As a convenience, eligible voters may vote in person during Advance Polls (see below for details). 

In accordance with the MEA, election officials will attend Extendicare Kirkland Lake, Teck Pioneer Residence, and Blanche River Health - Kirkland Lake Site to facilitate the vote for qualifying residents only.

  Accessible Voting

The Town of Kirkland Lake is committed to ensuring that all qualified electors have the opportunity to vote.

The Returning Officer (Municipal Clerk) is required to prepare a plan regarding the identification, removal, and prevention of barriers that affect electors and candidates with disabilities and make the plan available to the public in advance of the voting period.

The Municipal Clerk is also required to provide a follow-up report to the public within 90 days after the election.
