Births & Deaths

Births

The Province of Ontario is responsible for the registration of Births; the Town of Kirkland Lake does not coordinate any services in this regard.

The birth of every child born in the Province of Ontario must be registered within 30 days of the date of birth. You can use the newborn registration service to apply online for important government documents for your baby.

The birth certificate is a record of a birth that happened in Ontario and a government document that can be used as proof of identity.

Visit the Government of Ontario's website (Service Ontario) for information on Birth Registrations and Certificates.

Deaths

All deaths that occur in Kirkland Lake are registered with the Town.

Answers to common questions about what to do, and what support is available, when a loved one dies in Ontario  can be found on the Government of Ontario's website (Service Ontario).
