Emergency Planning

By their nature, emergency incidents require coordinated response by a number of agencies, under the direction of elected and appointed officials. They are distinct from routine operations carried out by these agencies under day-to-day procedures.

Emergencies may include: flood, hurricane, wind storm, blizzard, landslide, explosion, aircraft or rail crash, toxic or hazardous material spill, building collapse, vehicular accident, uncontrollable fire, or any threat of the foregoing, in which immediate remedial action will be required by the Town of Kirkland Lake.
