Artifacts & Collection

The Museum of Northern History takes great pride in its extensive collections of objects, documents and photos of Kirkland Lake's past and present. Among the major themes represented in the collection are the regional mining, agricultural and lumber industries. Artifacts from the local schools and community groups as well as the churches are housed in the Chateau's collection.  Town of Kirkland Lake by-law 95-044 governs the management of artifacts at the Museum of Northern History.

The Museum of Northern History provides research services.  If you require historic information about the community, it's citizenship, businesses or neighbouring regional communities, please reference our user fees and make contact.
