With Timiskaming District now in the  Green - Prevent level  of the COVID-19 framework, Kirkland Lake facilities are now able to open to the public as follows.



Town Hall

Open to the public - weekdays from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Visitors are asked to wear a mask when entering the facility. Please maintain physical distancing!



Development Services and Public Works

Open to the public - Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Staff, visitors and customers are required to wear a mask upon entering the building. Passive screening for all is required when entering.

Appointments are strongly recommended
by calling 705-567-9365.



Teck Pioneer Residence

Open to visitors - with the following requirements
  • All visitors must show proof of negative COVID swab done within the previous 2 weeks
  • Anyone entering the home must pass a screening and temperature check prior to being allowed to visit
  • Only 2 visitors at a time are permitted to visit.



Joe Mavrinac Community Complex and Civic Park Ice Surface

Open to the public - with COVID restrictions in place
  • Maintain 2 metres physical distancing, unless engaged in a sport
  • Capacity limits per venue, where physical distancing can be maintained:
    • Aquatic center ranges from 6-35 for recreational swims based on type of swim – registration is required
    • 28 people in the Co-ed gym, 14 in the women’s gym
    • 50 spectators in arena
    • Public Skating at Complex – max of 40
    • Ice surface at Civic – max of 40
  • Team or individual sports must be modified to avoid physical contact; 50 people per league
  • Face coverings required except when exercising or playing sports
  • Active Patron screening required

Museum of Northern History

Open to the public - starting Wednesday February 17th
  • Guest are strongly encouraged to pre-book their visits by calling or emailing the Museum.
  • Visitors are asked to wear masks in Museum (exceptions will be made for small children).
  • Visitors must complete screening process & provide contact information.
  • Visitors must use hand sanitizer provide at entrance and exit.
  • A maximum of twenty visitors will be allowed in the Museum at a time, for the time being.
  • Please practice physical distancing, unless in the same family.
  • Follow all directional arrows throughout the building.
  • A maximum of 2 people will be allowed per room at a time, unless from the same household or otherwise stated.


Teck Centennial Library

Curb side pickup only at this time.
Will welcome in person visits as of March 2nd.



Heritage North

Meeting and training spaces are allowed with capacity limits per venue, where physical distancing can be maintained:
  • Heritage North has multiple rooms, the largest which can accommodate up to 30 people
