Teck Pioneer Residence

Teck Pioneer Residence (TPR) is a non-profit home for the aged. It was created to provide the residents of the Town of Kirkland Lake an alternate place to live, when and if they require one.

Teck Pioneer Residence

The goal of TPR is to provide outstanding, individual, holistic care by optimising abilities, creating a supportive community environment and consistently exceeding expectations of residents and their families.

Services offered to residents include:

  • Medical services provided by a qualified physician;
  • 24 hour nursing care;
  • Restorative care services;
  • Dietary services;
  • Recreation and leisure activities; and
  • Full housekeeping and related environmental services.

Admission to the Teck Pioneer Residence is arranged through the Temiskaming Community Care Access Centre (CCAC 1-800-822-6426 or 705-567-2222). Residency rates are set annually by the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care.

The TPR is owned by the Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake, and was established in 1965. In 2004, the Residence moved to a new, state of the art building located adjacent to the Kirkland District Hospital.
